1.Quality requirements for solar photovoltaic quartz sand
1. Chemical composition:
The content of silicon dioxide should be ≥ 99.9%, and the content of impurities such as iron, aluminum, and calcium should be<0.1%.
2. Particle size distribution:
The particle size distribution should be uniform, generally requiring a particle size between 0.1-0.3mm, and the cumulative mass fraction within this particle size range should be ≥ 90%.
3. Impurity content:
The impurity content of photovoltaic quartz sand should be less than 0.02%, with alkali metals such as potassium, lithium, and sodium content less than 2.5 μ g/g.
4. Purity level:
It needs to reach 3N or above (SiO2=99.98%) to ensure the performance and lifespan of the photovoltaic panel.
5. Crystallization resistance:
Quartz sand is required to not easily precipitate crystals at high temperatures to ensure the stability and lifespan of photovoltaic panels.
6. Surface treatment:
Generally, surface treatment is required to improve its compatibility with resin and reduce surface activity, thereby improving the quality and performance of photovoltaic panels.
7. Hardness:
Generally required between 7-8 levels.
8. Color:
The color should be white or light yellow, with uniform color and no color deviation.
9. Particle shape:
granular, smooth surface, no sharp angles, no dust.

The screened quartz ore is crushed and then ground into fine powder using a grinding equipment.
3. Grading treatment:
The ground quartz sand needs to undergo strict grading treatment, using sieve or air grading technology to classify according to specific particle size requirements.
4. Deep purification:
In addition to Attrition cells scrubbers, it is also necessary to use methods such as acid washing, magnetic separation, flotation, etc. to remove impurities from quartz sand.
5. Finished product processing and packaging:
The purified quartz sand is dried and the final particle size is adjusted by a sand dryer to ensure its stable performance, and strict packaging is carried out to prevent secondary pollution.
