How to make coconut shell carbon activated charcoal

Coconut shell carbon is a kind of activated carbon with extremely strong adsorption. The raw material is coconut shell. After refined treatment, it has an irregular black granular appearance.

Steps for making  coconut shell carbon

1.Raw material preparation:

Select high-quality coconut shells as raw materials, and after cleaning, coconut shell dryer (coconut shell mositure≤10%) ,crushing and other treatments, make them meet the production requirements.

2.Carbonization treatment:

Put the treated coconut shells into the activated carbon carbonization furnace machine for high-temperature carbonization treatment. Under high temperature, the organic matter in the coconut shells is decomposed to form solid charcoal and gas.

3.Fumigation treatment:

Through fumigation treatment, the toxic gases produced during the carbonization process are removed, and the adsorption performance of coconut shell charcoal is increased.

4.Drying treatment:

Dry the carbonized coconut shell charcoal to reduce its moisture content, increase its calorific value and storage stability.

5.Screening and packaging:

Screen and package the carbonized coconut shell charcoal for easy transportation and use.

The process of coconut shell charcoal is relatively simple, but attention should be paid to environmental protection and safety issues.

It has the advantages of high wear resistance, good adsorption performance, strong adsorption capacity, developed pore structure, large surface area, economical and durable, and easy regeneration.

About coconut shell

Coconut is an organic fruit of the palm family and coconut genus, widely distributed in tropical coastal and inland areas of Asia, Africa, Oceania and America. Coconut shell is the inner shell of coconut, which is horny and flake-like, brown-brown, and extremely hard; coconut shell contains 0.61% ash (mainly KOH), 36.51% lignin, 53.06% cellulose, and 29.27% pentosan (total amount)
